Few things are more important than inspiring young people to take control of their finances. David Greene, Region President for First Merchants Bank, experienced that first-hand when he and other team members recently spoke to the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.

MUNCIE, Ind. – Today, First Merchants Bank was ranked fourth in the list of the 2022 Great Employers to Work for in Indiana by Best Companies Group, a BridgeTower Media Company. The honor considered a review of practices, programs and benefits, and anonymous employee surveys.

Today, First Merchants Bank celebrated the opening of Northland’s newest banking center. Located at 1925 Morse Road, the center is the bank’s eighth location in Columbus. The location was chosen because of the revitalization taking place in the neighborhood. First Merchants Bank leaders, community influencers, Columbus City Councilmember Emmanuel V. Remy and First Merchants Corporation board member Clark C. Kellogg were in attendance.

First Quarter Financial Results: First Merchants Corporation (the “Corporation) has reported first quarter 2022 net income of $48.6 million compared to $49.5 million during the same period in 2021. Earnings per share for the period totaled $.91 per share compared to the first quarter of 2021 result of $.91 per share.
