Newsweek released its 2023 America's Best Banks rankings placing First Merchants at the top of the list in Indiana and distinguishing it for having attentive service and dependable bankers.

First Merchants Bank recently revised its Community Benefits Agreement to better expand and reflect its positive community impact goals as a corporation. The prior Community Benefits Agreement was unveiled in June of 2020, and this revision represents a significant advancement in the magnitude of the financial benefits across the communities served by First Merchants.

Today, First Merchants Bank announced Jess Hopkins, vice president and Fort Wayne market leader, received the Indiana Bankers Association (IBA) 2022 Woman on the Rise award. She was presented with the honor on Wednesday, Nov. 2, during the IBA Banking on Women conference.

Third Quarter Financial Results: First Merchants Corporation (the “Corporation) has reported third quarter 2022 net income available to common stockholders of $63.3 million compared to $52.8 million during the same period in 2021. Diluted earnings per common share for the period totaled $1.08 per share compared to the third quarter of 2021 result of $.98 per share. Current quarter results included integration costs from the acquisition of Level One and severance expense totaling $4.0 million.

First Merchants Bank has been recognized by Comparably in the Q3 2022 Awards roundup.
