Global equities rose broadly last week on indications of improving trade relations between the U.S. and China, as well as potential initial signs of stability in Turkey’s currency.

A growing currency crisis in Turkey rattled U.S. and international equity markets this past week on fears of contagion and spill-over effects to other markets, such as Eurozone banks and other emerging market nations.

U.S. equities finished the week on a strong note to end mostly in positive territory.

Stocks showed mixed results last week, with large cap stocks continuing to do well with the notable exception of many tech stocks.

The Dow, the S&P 500 and the Russell 2000 Small-Cap indexes all inched up last week, while the NASDAQ closed slightly lower, but still boasted the best YTD performance of 13.24%.
