U.S. equities notched another positive weekly return to finish off one of the best quarterly results since 2009, despite concerns of slowing global economic growth.

Despite more data showing a slowdown in manufacturing activity around the globe, U.S. equities rebounded strongly last week, posting their best weekly gains on the year.

U.S. stocks finished lower for the week as market participants dialed back on bullish sentiment following additional disappointing global economic growth data, including a weak U.S. jobs report, and some skepticism around progress of the U.S.-China trade negotiations.

U.S. equities finished a choppy week of trading last week on a positive note on Friday, bolstered by continued progress in the U.S.-China trade dispute and better than expected U.S. economic growth.

Major U.S. equity indices climbed further this past week to their highest levels since November 8, just below their all-time highs, with increasing optimism over U.S.-China trade negotiations driving improving sentiment.
