MUNCIE, IN—First Merchants Bank (Nasdaq: FRME), a high-performing and attentive bank in the Midwest, announced the addition of Justin Karvasky to the team as Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller.
Karvasky most recently served as the First Vice President of Finance for First Internet Bancorp, a $5 billion publicly traded bank holding company located in Fishers, Indiana. During his eleven-year tenure at First Internet, Karvasky held leadership responsibilities for accounting, financial planning and analysis, and corporate treasury.
A graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, Karvasky began his career in Columbus, Ohio with Deloitte, providing audit services to financial institutions. His career also includes roles at Huntington Bancshares and Cardinal Health. Karvasky holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Ohio University and is a former Certified Public Accountant.
