Round Ups FAQs

If you have chosen to designate 100% of the Round Up to savings, but do not have enough funds to round up, a transfer will not be completed.
Roundups are processed the day after the original debit card transaction is posted to your account. This helps ensure the final transaction amount is used before the roundup is applied.
Round Ups are compatible with First Direct, Carefree, Elite, Advantage, Simple Access, Prosper, Prosper Plus, and Private Banking checking accounts, as well as Personal Savings or Money Market accounts.
You will need a First Merchants debit card, a First Merchants checking account, and a First Merchants savings account.
You will need a First Merchants personal checking account, as well as an eligible First Merchants savings account where your Round Ups can be deposited. Eligible savings accounts include a First Merchants personal savings account and a First Merchants money market account.
It’s easy! Just log into your mobile app or online banking, select Round Ups from the menu, and enroll.
