First Merchants Bank and the Indiana Finance Authority has teamed up to offer a special loan program with a reduced rate and low cost financing option to help Indiana Residence convert existing Septic Tank Systems into public utility sewers.
Repayment of a home equity loan requires that the borrower makes a monthly payment to the lender. That monthly payment includes repayment of the loan principal, plus monthly interest on the outstanding balance. Loan payments are amortized so that the monthly payment remains the same throughout the repayment period, but during that time, the percentage of the amount that goes towards principal will increase as the outstanding mortgage balance decreases.

- Amortization Term - 10 year (120 months)*
- Property Location - State of Indiana Only
- Primary residence only
- Qualifying Properties - Single Family Dwelling - Primary Residence, Owner Occupied Only
