I received a call or text from someone claiming to represent First Merchants related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and asking for my information. What should I do?

Unfortunately, fraud-related schemes associated with COVID-19 are on the rise, including a text scam. Fraudsters try to take advantage of times like this. Please be extra careful and aware. First Merchants will never make an unsolicited request for any confidential information from you via email or phone call or require that you update your account details on a Web page. Do not respond to or click on links from unsolicited emails, and do not provide confidential information on an unsolicited phone call.
