Kris brings over 25 years’ experience in financial services including 8 years in group retirement. His extensive background includes designing and reviewing plans, group education and enrollment meetings, individual retirement planning and investments. Kris is a 20 year registered representative with FINRA and has experience working with employers and employees wanting to maximize their retirement plan in all facets. Kris earned a BA from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Indianapolis and in his spare time he’s an avid runner.

Eva Kreps

Eva joined First Merchants in 2002 as an IRA Administrative Assistant. Throughout her career within the Retirement Planning Division, Eva has earned several promotions leading to her current position as VP, Retirement Plan Advisor.

In 2006, she earned the CISP (Certified IRA Services Professional®) designation from The Institute of Certified Bankers, and in 2016, she earned the CRPC (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor®) designation from the College for Financial Planning. In 2020, she received her Series 6 and Series 63 licenses. Eva is the IRA subject matter expert for First Merchants Private Wealth Advisors, keeping IRAs in compliance with IRS rules and regulations.

Eva is a member of the Institute of Certified Bankers, Indiana Bankers Association, the East Central Indiana Estate Planning Council, and an alumni of the College for Financial Planning.

Eva is a member of the Dunkirk Park and Recreation Board and the West Jay Community Center Board.

John McMahon

John brings over 25 years of experience in financial services, including 17 years in group retirement. His extensive background includes designing and reviewing retirement plans, group education and enrollment meetings, individual retirement planning and investments. John has been a registered representative with FINRA for over 10 years. John has experience working with employers and employees and enjoys helping others prepare for a financially healthy retirement.

John earned his BS from Indiana University. In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with family and going to sporting events.

Jane Smith

Jane has dedicated herself to helping employers develop a retirement program for their companies and their employee group for the past 29 years. She is passionate about retirement planning for the individuals she serves, ensuring them a comfortable retirement for years to come.

Jane’s background in the retirement world includes graduating from Cannon Financial Institute for Employee Benefits – receiving the designation of Certified Retirement Counselor from the International Foundation for Retirement Education – and completing the course study and achieving the designation of Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist from the College for Financial Planning. Jane continues to increase her knowledge and experience by attending numerous seminars and conferences in all aspects of retirement planning.

In addition to her commitment to her profession, Jane also is very active in her community by volunteering her time and energy to many community programs for fundraising events.
